Armoiries de Virton

Official blazon

  • (1818) Van rood beladen met twee pijlen van goud geveerd en gepunt van zilver kruisgewijze geplaatst, het schild gedekt met een gouden kroon.
  • (1839) De gueules à deux flèches d'or posées en sautoir ayant pennes et dards d'argent, les pointes en bas.
  • (1979) De gueules à deux flèches d'or passées en sautoir, les pointes en bas, armées et empennées d'argent, 1'écu sommé d'une couronne murale d'or à cinq créneaux.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 18, 1818 and without crown on May 26, 1902. With a mural crown again on June 8, 1979.
