Armoiries de Soiron

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 14, 1957.

The arms are those of the Van Woelmont family, who acquired the estate and village of Soiron in 1648. They remained Lords of Soiron until 1795.

At the same time in 1957 the village applied for official registration of its seal. This seal shows the local patron saint, St. Roche (Rochus) and is known since the late 17th century. This request was granted and the seal was granted on the same day as the arms.
