Escudo de vermelho, com uma vaca de prata malhada de negro, coleirada e chocalhada de ouro, sobre terreiro verde, acompanhada de duas flores de hortênsia de sua cor, folhadas de verde. Em chefe, açor de negro realçado, de ouro, voante, segurando nas garras uma quina de Portugal. Em contra-chefe, um mar ondado de três faixas de prata e de verde. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com os dizeres : " LAJES DAS FLORES ".* Origin/meaning The arms were officially granted on May 30, 1960.
