State : São Paulo

Borborem.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 20, 1985.

The arrows are the symbol of St. Sebastian, the patron saint of the city. The bees represent labour and efforts of the first settlers. The base shows a wavy bar for the Ribeirão dos Fugidos river in the city.

The shield is surrounded by corn and orange branches, the main agricultural crops in the area.
