State : Brandenburg
District (Kreis) : Ostprignitz-Ruppin

Breddin.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 11, 1998.

The upper half shows a medieval document, symbolising the first mentioning of Breddin in 1273. It was discovered in the local church in 1846. The document describes the inauguration of the new altar by Bishop Heinrich von Havelberg. The base shows some symbols for the bishop.
