SCHWAIG BEI NÜRNBERG
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Nürnberger Land
Additions : 1976 Behringersdorf
German |
Gespalten von Rot und Silber; vorne übereinander zwei goldene Bienen, hinten zwei gekreuzte, gestümmelte, brennende, schwarze Äste. |

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 30, 1979.
The two bees are derived from the older arms of Schwaig (I have no image unfortunately), and symbolise the bee keeping industry, which was controlled by the city of Nürnberg. The burning branches were taken from the arms of Behringersdorf and are taken from the arms of the Schürstab family.
Literature: Information provided by the Schwaig council.
