Incorporated into : 1977 Beersel
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 15, 1818 and again on October 12, 1841.
The arms show the local patron saint St. John Baptist with the Paschal Lamb. The arms are based on the 18th century seal of the village.
The colours are the Dutch national colours, as in 1813 the mayor applied without indicating the colours. The arms were thus granted in the national colours. When the arms were confirmed after the Belgian independence, the colours were not changed.
