Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The County of Zweibrücken (German: Grafschaft Zweibrücken) was a territory in the Holy Roman Empire named for Zweibrücken in the contemporary State of Rheinland-Pfalz. It was created in between 1182 and 1190 from an inheritance division of the county of Saarbrücken and lasted until 1394. The title remained in use by the rulers of the Pfalz.

The arms show a red lion on a golden field with a blue label. These are the arms of the Counts in the late 13th century.
