The arms were registered on January 6, 2021.
The arms are based on the early 19th century seal of Otvice (then Udwitz), which showed a lily plant in an oval shield. The shield was crowned, but in the new municipal arms, the crown was placed in the shield. The lilies are the symbol for St. Barbara, the local patron saint. She is also the patron saint of miners and thus in the arms also a symbol of the mining past of the village.
