Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 30, 1975.

The village of Frankelbach never had its own seal of coat of arms prior to 1975. In the 18th century the local council used the seal of the Amt Wolfstein district. The arms thus show in the base the diamonds and the wolf, taken from the seal of the Amt Wolfstein. The upper half shows the lion of the Pfalz, the region the village is situated in. The colours are also the colours of the Pfalz. The wavy division line is canting, as Bach means brook or stream.
