French | Un écu ovale: parti, au 1er, d'azur semé de fleurs de lis d'or; at 2, de gueules à la fasce d'argent. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 15, 1966.
The village was a possession of the Abbey of Nivelles and thus uses the arms of the Abbey. To distinguish the arms from those with similar arms (f.e. Etterbeek) an oval shield was chosen, based on the seal of the abbey from 1694.
