Official blazon

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 16, 1956 and again on April 8, 1997.
The arms are those of the falily Berthout-Berlaar, who acquired the village in the early 14th century. The arms also appeared on the seal of the village from the 14th century until the late 18th century, even though the village was ruled by other families since the late 15th century.
The arms are held by the local patron saint, St. Michael.
