Van lazuur, het hoofd van zilver beladen met zeven hermynstaarten geplaatst 4 en 3.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 20, 1819.

The arms are derived from the arms of the Lords of Lichtervelde, last Lords of Moerzeke in the late 18^th century.

The only known seal of the council of Moerzeke shows a male figure holding a shield with the arms of the Lords van der Meersche, Lords of Moerzeke in the first half of the 18^th century.
