Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 12, 1997.
The castle represents the castle of Leiria, the nearest town of this village. The boat and sea represent the fishing villages and the importance of fishing for the municipality. Coimbrão is situated in the middle a big pine tree forest (Pinhal de Leiria) and thus the pinecone was added to the arms. The saw is the symbol of forestry, which is also important for the village.
