Origin/meaning
The three fountains are canting for the name Aguadas (agua =water). The fountains or springs also refer to the vitality of the Aguadeño people
The other half shows a lion, which means the bravery of the people. The lion bears the arms of Castile-Leon and refers to Spain.
The crest shows an expanded condor (with open wings), the symbol of Colombian freedom because the condor is sovereign among all the birds, thus is symbolises the national sovereignty.
