Origin/meaning
The eagle's head is derived from the arms of Brandenburg, the area belongs already since the 13th century to Brandenburg. The swans are derived from the former arms of Osthavelland and were also used in the seal of Nauen. The division line symbolises the Havel river. The stars represent the two former districts.
