Province: Středočeský Kraj
District (Okres) : Kladno
Official blazon
V modrém štítě na zeleném trávníku jelen se zlatým parožím a obojkem s kroužkem, vyskakující z lesa, vše přirozené barvy.
Origin/meaning
The arms are based on a local legend in which the Czech king Wenceslas got lost in deep forest of central Bohemia, chasing a deer. Suddenly he found himself near a lonely dwelling at the end of the forest. He was quite tired, so he decided to ask there for accommodation. He was served quite well, by its inhabitants, so he gives the village city privileges (as well as a right of beer-brewing), and the newly established town was named Unhošť, meaning "city of good hosts".
