Wellenformig geteilt von Gold und Rot; ober ein hergewendeter schwarzer Stechhelm, beseitet mit je blauen Fahne mit Stange, unten ein goldener Melkkübel, dem ein rotes Patriarchenkreuz aufgelegt ist.
Origin/meaning
The arms show in the base a bath or barrel for making cheese, which was commonly done in both villages. The cross refers to the Holy Cross Abbey in Donauwörth, which had many possessions in the area.
The upper half refers to Georg von Zusum, an influential person in the city of Donauwörth, who fought with great courage in the war against ths Swiss in 1499, and therefore received the right to use the imperial banner on his crest besides the banner of Donauwörth. The crest with the two banners was thus taken in the arms of the municipality.
