Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 10, 1999.
The arms show a wolf, which is based on an old village legend. In the legend suddenly many sheep disappeared from the village flock. Once a very small lamb was protected by a young shepherd, but it still disappeared. The young shepherd suspected that the old village shepherd had something to do with the loss of sheep. When he confronted him, the old shepherd changed into an angry wolf. The young shepherd tried to kill the wolf, which changed into a thornbush. The young shepherd hacked on the bush, which changed again into the old shepherd, who begged for mercy. The young shepherd killed the older man and after that the village did not loose any sheep.
The green colour of the arms symbolises the nature around the village.
