Origin/meaning

The arms first appear on the seal from the 17th century. The arms at the time showed a small mountain under the grapes. The arms are most likely derived from the arms of neighbouring Sommerhausen, in which the sun has been replaced by moon and stars as symbol for winter. The colours are those of the Counts of Limpurg-Speckfeld, which ruled the village for a long time.
