State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Diepholz
Samtgemeinde : Samtgemeinde Kirchdorf

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The church (Kirche) is a canting symbol and also signifies that there was already a church mentioned in the 13th century. The three plough shares symbolise the agricultural character of the three villages in the municipality. The wavy bend symbolises the Aue river. The base shows a fountain, symbol for the healing waters which were discovered in 1726 and that were used for more than a century. The fountain itself is the local village fountain.
