Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 23, 1997.
The arms show the cross of the Knights of St John of Malta, as the order owned the village for about 6 centuries. The palm leaves symbolise the martyrs, as the local parish is devoted to Our lady of the Martyrs.
