Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
RHEINHEIM
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Waldshut
Incorporated into : 1973 Küssaberg
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1908.
The arms are a combination from the elements of the two historical seals of the village. The oldest seal dates from the early 19th century and showed the arms of the Counts of Sulz, who had many possessions in the area, including Rheinheim. The second seal, dating from the late 19th century, showed only an oak branch. Its meaning is not known.
