Geviert von Silber und Gold durch ein durchgehendes, schmales schwarzes Kreuz, überdeckt mit einer roten heraldischen Lilie.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 16, 1972.
The fleur-de-lis is taken from the old arms of Greftath, the colours from the arms of Oedt. The cross is the cross of the State of Köln, to which the present municipality belonged.
The previous arms:
These arms show the local patron saint, St. Lawrence with a fluer-de-lys, taken from the arms of the Knights von Greverode, who in medieval times originated from the town. Greverode is the old name of the town.
