Dutch Doorsneden; 1 in zilver een sextant van sabel; II in azuur een GPS-pictogram van goud. Embleemspreuk 'ad majorem navigationis securitatem' in Latijnse letters van sabel op een lint van zilver.

Origin/meaning

The emblem colors are derived from those of the emblem of the Hydrographic Service (silver and blue). With the pieces the connection between past and symbolized today, where the sextant stands for the classical astronomical measurements for collecting the necessary navigational data, the GPS icon for the current positioning at sea.
