Ablach.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on january 28, 1949.

The swan and the three balls in the upper half of the shield are derived from the seal of the 13th century Lords of Ablach. The deer antlers are derived from the arms of the Schenken von Castel family, which ruled the Gutenstein Estate until 1805 as vassals of the Austrian Emperors.

The silver and red are the colours of the arms of the Schenken von Castel as well as the colours of Austria.
