ARCO-IRIS
State : São Paulo
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 10, 1997.
The arms are canting, the name means rainbow. The cross is the symbol of Jesus, patron saint of the city. The indian headgear in the lower left corner symbolises that there was an indian village where the city now stands.
The shield is surrounded by the two main crops of the area, corn and coffee.
