Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 6, 1993.

The flames and the wavy bar are the symbols of the holy Spirit and the Turvo river respectively. These are thus canting elements. The cross symbolises the first chapel in the region.

The shield is flanked by corn, breans and rice, the main crops in the region.
