Blason de Faycelles

Official blason

  • (fr) De gueules au château d'or, ouvert et ajouré de sable, posé sur trois coupeaux d'or rangés en fasce et mouvant d'ondes d'argent; au chef d'azur à la croix d'argent.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1977.

The castle refers to castle in the village, destroyed in the 18th century. The base shows the Lot river. The colours are those of the Quercy region. The chief shows the arms of the Figeac Abbey, to which the area historically belonged.
