Official blazon

In gespaltenem Schild vorne in Rot ein golden gedeckter goldener Kelch, hinten in Blau ein steigender goldener Hirsch.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1902.

The right half shows the part of the arms of the Staufen family. The left half shows the deer derived from the arms of the St. Blasien Abbey, which owned a large part of the area for many centuries.
