Official blazon

In Gold auf grünem Dreiberg an roter Stange ein grüner Weinstock mit zwei blauen Trauben und zwei grünen Blättern.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 3, 1973.

The arms are partly canting, showing a grapevine (Wein=wine) rising from a stone (Stein). The composition already appears on the oldest known seal of the town, dating from the early 17th century. All later seals show the same composition, but the shape and size of the elements differs widely. The present composition dates from the late 19th century.
