OBERMICHELBACH

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Fürth

Obermichel.jpg

Official blazon

Im Zinnenschnitt schräg geteilt von Gold und Schwarz; oben eine rote Pflugschar, unten ein silberner Wellenschrägbalken.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 13, 1977.

The main division of the arms is based on the arms of the Linck von Schwabach family, who acquired the village in the early 16th century. The red plough iron was added as a symbol for the agricultural character of the municipality. The wavy bend in the lower half symbolises the Michelbach river.
