Punaisessa kentässä on kuusikoroinen lakio, jonka alapuolella kuparinmerkki; kaikki kultaa.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on 18-2-1953.

The arms were granted originally to the municipality of Kuusjärvi, which formed Outukumpu city in 1968. The upper part of the arms were canting for Kuusjärvi, which means grain-lake. The copper sign is a symbol for the rich copper mines around the town.
