State : São Paulo

Arms of São Francisco (São Paulo)
Official blazon
Portuguese blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 16, 1974.

The St. Francis' cord is canting and the fleur de lys are the attribute of the Blessed Virgin, patron saint of the city.

The supporters show that cotton and coffee are important agricultural products of the region. The shield is surmounted by a mural crown appropriate to a city and a scroll below the shield bears the name of the city.
