SALTINHO

State : São Paulo

Saltinho.jpg

Origin/meaning :

The arms were granted on September 30, 1993.

The cross represents Christian faith and Our Lord Jesus, patron of the city; the stars allude to the dream of the settlers of a bright future to the region and the eagle gules evokes the immigrants from <a href=oos/tirol|Tyrolia]] who toiled in hard work and contributed to the development of the city.

The supporters show that sugar cane and tobacco are important agricultural products of the region.
The shield is surmounted by a mural crown appropriate to a city and a scroll below the shield bears the name "SALTINHO".
