Official blazon
- (fi) Hopeakentässä vihreä tammi, jonka terhot punaiset
- (se) I fält av silver en grön ek med röda ekollon.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 14, 1952.
The arms are canting, showing an oak tree (ek in Swedish), the name means oak-peninsula. The oak already appeared on the 16th century seals of the city.
