Thirimon.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 15, 1925.

The arms show the combined arms of the Croy-Renty family (see also Biévène, Fourbechies, Sivry and several others). The estate of Thirimont became a possession of Antoine de Croy in 1453 and the family ruled the estate until 1668.
The arms are based on the 16th century seal of the local council which showed the arms of Croy-Renty.
