Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 14, 1978.

The arms thus show the griffin in the colours of Baden. These colours are identical to the colours of the county <a href=h/hanau|Hanau]]-Lichtenstein, to which the village Donsieders belonged. The bordure is a symbol for a Verbandsgemeinde.
