Incorporated into : 1994 Löbau-Zittau (2008 Görlitz)
Origin/meaning :
In 1992 the district adopted the above arms.
The lion and eagle are taken from the arms of the city of Zittau. The left half shows the gold and blue colours of the Oberlausitz region. The escutcheon shows the initial of the district.
