Redesignated as 50 Satellite Communications Squadron on 1 Jan 1992. Activated on 30 Jan 1992. Redesignated as: 50 Space Communications Squadron on 1 Jul 1992; 50 Communications Squadron on 1 Dec 1997; 50 Space Communications Squadron on 1 Oct 2002; 50 Communications Squadron on 24 Jul 2020.
