Origin/meaning

Green and yellow are colors traditionally associated with the Military Police Corps. The Battalion’s historic association with Fort Leavenworth is recalled by the flintlock rifle and native Indian arrow. They are upheld by a mailed fist, symbolizing honor, courage and strength of purpose. The crenellated tower represents security and vigilance and sacrifice. The bordure signifies unity and constancy.

The arms were approved on 28 December 2005. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 9 October 1991.
