Official blazon

On a blue and orange rectangular shaped embroidered device, arched convexly at top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, the field cut in half from upper left to lower right diagonally, to the left the bust of Andrew Jackson white, and to the right a palmetto tree of the same charged with a crescent moon blue. Attached above, a white scroll inscribed “JACKSON” in blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Attached below, a white scroll inscribed “VOLUNTEERS” in blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Overall dimensions 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.


Origin/meaning

The school colors are royal blue, orange and white. The Volunteer is the school mascot. The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 12 January 2007.
