Origin/meaning
The first quarter refers to the church of Swolgen (the Netherlands) and its patron saint, Saint Lambert of Maastricht. The bishop was born in Swolgen. The second quarter shows the colonial arms of Batavia, the capital of the Dutch East Indies. The lower half shows the initials of Christ and two palm (?) branches.
