Un scut triunghiular albastru cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat de un brâu undat de argint. În partea superioară se află o cruce treflată de aur, cu brațul vertical alungit în partea inferioară, având deasupra și pe flancuri 5 stele de aur, poziționate în semicerc, la distanță egală una de alta. În vârful scutului se află un copac de aur. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.
Origin/meaning

The cross represents the wooden church from Vârtop. The 5 stars indicate the number of component villages of the locality.
The wavy bar represents the Dâmbovița river, which crosses the locality.
The tree symbolizes the basic occupation of the inhabitants, fruit growing.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
