CUGY

Canton: Vaud

Armoiries de Cugy (Vaud)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The two silver bands represent the two rivers, the Talent and the Mèbre, which form the north and south borders of the village. The ruby colour is the colour of the nearby city of Lausanne to which Cugy was militarily attached during the reign of the Bishops.

The Eagle is the symbol of Saint John the Evangelist, Patron of the village.
