English Azure, on a rock Proper two lions supporting a tower with four steps Argent, masoned Sable, windows and portcullis Gules, both lions crowned Or. Above the Shield is placed a crown appropriate to a City with a Mantling Azure doubled Argent, and in an Escrol over the same this Motto “ESTO RUPES INACCESSA” and upon a Compartment below the Shield are set for Supporters dexter a lion rampant Argent, armed and langued Gules, and sinister, a unicorn Argent, armed, maned and unguled Or, and gorged with a collar Gules from which is pendent an oval badge, Azure fimbriated Or, charged with a Saltire Argent

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 21, 2024.

The arms are based on the arms of the Burgh, with some small changes and a mural crown as symbol for the city. In addition supporters and a compartment were granted, which were not used by the Burgh of District Council
