Official blazon

  • (fi) Kultakentässä aaltokoroinen, yläinen hirsi ja sen alapuolella neljä kissankelloa, joiden varret yhtyvät ristiksi; kaikki sinisiä.
  • (sv) I fält av guld en av vågskuror bildad, höjd bjälke och under denna fyra blåklockor vars stjälkar äro korsformigt förenade; allt blått.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 10, 1962.

The arms show a wavy bar for the Esse river and a Campanula flower, a common flower along the river.
