Kultakentässä puna-sinikatkoinen juomasarvi, jalka ja heloitus hopeaa, suu oikealle, sarven yläpuolella sininen, liekkikoroinen lakio, jossa kuusisakarainen kultatähti.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 29, 1954.

The horn is taken from the old seal of the parish. The chief symbolises the Aurora Borealis and the polar star and refer to the fact that it was common for people from the village to travel to the (far) North.
