Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in January 2021.
The key and the sword are the attributes of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, the local patron saints. The bend taken from the coat of arms of the former historic region of Champagne, the checkered band is the symbol of the Cistercian Order and is taken from the coat of arms of the Abbey of Clairvaux which played an important role in the history of the town.
