Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in June 2022.
The locomotive reminds us that Marcenais hosted a station on the Guîtres line. The green recalls the rural environment of Marcenais. The oak tree is a common tree in the commune.
The cross of the Templars symbolises the local commandery of the Knights Templar, which was located near the church. Below, the watermill alludes to the historical mills on the river Saye.
